Context

The Clairemont, a French Provincial wedding venue in Sydney, needed a website that showed its premium value and attract high-end bookings. Event planners needed to quickly evaluate venue suitability for corporate events, weddings, and private functions while experiencing the venue's luxury positioning through digital presence. The challenge was creating a sophisticated visual showcase with practical booking functionality.

The challenge

The core challenge was communicating a luxury venue experience digitally while providing practical information event planners need for confident booking decisions. Key challenges: Visual showcase: High-end venue spaces needed a compelling photography presentation allowing event planners to evaluate suitability remotely (emotion-focused) with different needs Booking complexity: Event inquiry requires detailed information collection without creating friction that loses potential clients Brand positioning: Digital presence needed to reflect premium pricing and luxury experience to justify high-end bookings

My approach

I applied stakeholder workshop methodology combined with user journey mapping to ensure website served both business goals and event planner needs.

Strategic approach: Collaborative discovery: Conducted workshops with venue owners to understand business objectives, target audiences, competitive positioning User journey focus: Mapped the event planner decision-making process from discovery through booking inquiry Modular design: Built a scalable design system allowing easy content updates Mobile optimisation: Prioritised mobile experience for planners researching venues between client meetings

The solution

I designed a premium hospitality website, balancing visual sophistication with practical event planner needs through modular design system. Key deliverables: Visual showcase: High-quality venue photography presentation with optimised galleries and space details Wedding pages: five cultural wedding pages with copy and catering sections Booking system: Integrated inquiry forms with appropriate detail collection without excessive friction Modular design: Scalable design system enabling easy content updates

Outcome

Bookings grew 25% after the relaunch.
